A drinking song

Up wi’ the glass and down wi’ the beer!
Time to buy another round. I fear
that should we continue thus
our songs will be our downfall,
for ’though the landlord says he likes us
and our company withal,
the ale is steadily going back
and should the p’lice call he will surely get the sack.
Now this I’m sure he would not fancy!
So drink up lads and we’ll move on perchance - eh?
